Workplace Campaigns

Thank you for your support of mentoring! We know that you have a variety of choices for donating.

We work hand-in-hand with mentoring programs, providing leadership, training and comprehensive information to help mentoring programs succeed. With your help, we seek to close the gap and connect the 17.6 million young people with mentors.

Over the next year, your contribution will help support projects that will further expand the training and information resources for mentors and mentoring programs nationwide.

How can I give to MENTOR/ National Mentoring Partnership through the campaign?

You will be provided a pledge card during the kickoff campaign. Simply write MENTOR's CFC number 1546 in the space provided. To ensure the donation goes to the organization, it also helps to add MENTOR's Federal Employer Identification Number: 52-1674088. If MENTOR/ National Mentoring Partnership does not appear as a charity of choice in your workplace campaign or if you have any questions, please contact us at 703-224-2267.

What is the Combined Federal Campaign?

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the annual fundraising drive conducted by Federal employees in their workplace each fall. Each year Federal employees and military personnel raise millions of dollars through the CFC that benefits thousands of non-profit charities. To find out more about the CFC, log onto CFC Today.

Does MENTOR receive my entire donation?

The local campaign will deduct fundraising expenses before we receive any funds. As a result, we do not receive the entire amount you pledge. If you would like to maximize your charitable giving to MENTOR you may want to consider giving directly to MENTOR apart from the campaign.

We would also like to thank you personally for your generous contribution so please check the box to receive an acknowledgment for your gift. (Note: gifts may not be received by our organization for up to nine months from your designation due to CFC processing. See CFC Today to find out more about the process.)

Why does MENTOR participate in the CFC if the organization doesn't receive the entire donation?

We realize that employees are strongly encouraged to participate in workplace giving through the Combined Federal Campaign. Through our participation in the campaign we are able to provide you with a choice for your campaign donations.

What about non-CFC Campaigns? Can I give to MENTOR through my workplace campaign, United Way or State Employee Campaign?

Yes! You can simply write in our organization name -- MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership & our campaign number #1546 -- and your employer will designate the funds to our organization. Your employer or campaign processor (i.e. Charities Funds Transfer) will take out a small percentage to process this donation.

How can I give to MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership through the Internet?

MENTOR uses an electronic funds transfer program through NetworkForGood.org designed to facilitate your giving.

NetworkForGood.org is a nonprofit dedicated to using the Web to help people get more involved in their communities. Regardless of the way you give we are thankful for your participation in support of mentoring!
