There are multiple components that must be implemented and followed to ensure that your mentoring program is managed effectively. Components include forming an advisory group, developing a system for managing information, designing a resource development plan, and a plan for monitoring the mentoring program, creating a staff development plan, advocating for mentoring and last but certainly not least, establishing a public relations effort that includes a marketing plan and consideration of collaborating with other community groups.
