Community-Based Mentoring

The Mentoring Partnership of New York was designed primarily to assist any not for profit organization/program providing direct mentoring services to young people in New York City. Through its set of national standards entitled "The Elements of Effective Practice," MPNY offers organizations the opportunity to apply for membership and receive resources and instruction on structuring new mentoring programs or strengthening existing ones. Over 100 mentoring organizations/programs are currently receiving technical support from MPNY.

Additional assistance offered by The Mentoring Partnership's Community-Based Mentoring Services department to member organizations/programs includes:

    Mentor trainings
    One on one program coordinator consultations
    Networking opportunities through bi-monthly community-based mentoring meetings
    Extensive program coordinator training on The Elements of Effective Practice
