MENTOR and our proposed Affiliate, MENTOR California, are dedicated to expanding youth-adult partnerships across California. MENTOR California is an emerging MENTOR Affiliate, and will be open for business in 2020.

To be part of MENTOR California’s mentoring movement, register your program on the Mentoring Connector. The Mentoring Connector is the only national database of mentoring programs. The Mentoring Connector is a free service that helps quality youth mentoring programs across the country recruit more local volunteers while greatly increasing visibility for their organizations. Anyone interested in becoming a mentor can search for mentoring opportunities by zip code, ages of youth served, and program type to find and contact programs that interest them. Each year, potential volunteers looking for mentoring opportunities do more than 80,000 searches in this system.
Mentoring is as diverse as the people who step up to become mentors, and there are several ways to tailor your mentoring experience to fit your time commitment and talents. You can mentor on the field as coaches, in the classroom as tutors, in after-school programs as career guides, and in the community in group settings. With 1 in 3 youth growing up in America without a caring adult in their lives, we need your help to close the mentoring gap. Get connected to local mentoring opportunities that match your schedule and interests in five easy steps.
By searching the database on the mentoring.org/mentor-california page, you are sharing your information with MENTOR, its Affiliates, and any program you choose to contact through the Mentoring Connector. Your email address will not be sold, shared with third parties or used for any purposes other than to keep you updated on news and opportunities related to mentoring.
Inspire others to mentor by telling us about how a mentor has impacted you or about your experience mentoring a young person.
Be sure to share your mentoring moment on social media!
