MENTOR is the unifying national organization in advancing quality youth mentoring relationships and connecting volunteers to opportunities in their local communities. Nike’s partnership with MENTOR is an extraordinary milestone in the movement to help close the mentoring gap for the one in three young people growing up without mentors. Your support and voice will help ensure that young people receive the support they need to succeed in all areas of life.

9 million youth in the United States are at-risk of not graduating high school. Fortunately, research shows that a caring adult, a mentor, can offer the support students need to stay on track, become leaders in their communities, graduate college, and enter the workforce. Unfortunately, 1 in 3 young people in America report that they are growing up without a mentor.

To address this need, Nike is lending their passion and voice to fuel the mentoring movement and ensure all American youth receive the support they need to succeed in all areas of life. If you are able to share your time and experience—how to take a test, prepare for an interview, or plan a future career—consider making a commitment to become a mentor. You can also support the movement by making a donation or championing youth mentoring through advocacy.

However you choose to serve, Nike and MENTOR thank you for your commitment to America’s youth.
