Prioritizing Quality
MENTOR led the delivery of a record-breaking 13,743 hours of technical assistance to 489 organizations serving 131,765 young people in mentoring relationships through OJJDP’s National Mentoring Resource Center.
100+ local mentoring organizations utilized the new Virtual Mentoring Portals, a safe and monitored platform for mentors and mentees to continue their relationship through the COVID-19 pandemic.


8,315 participants attended 45+ webinars facilitated by MENTOR.
The Black Youth Town Hall , co-hosted by MENTOR and the Youth Mentoring Action Network, was attended by over 1,000 people and featured a panel of young people who discuss the state of race relations, advocate for change, and share their insights and advice for the future.

Accelerating Public Will

402,372 new visitors to MENTOR’s website.
#MentorIRL public awareness campaign generated 150 million impressions and reached 32+ million users.
27,595 individuals took action by completing 70,948 searches for mentoring opportunities and connecting with 1,643 local mentoring programs nationwide through the Mentoring Connector.
1,309 people convened for the 2020 National Mentoring Summit in Washington D.C.

Influencing Systems
MENTOR co-led advocacy efforts to increase key federal investment in mentoring to $100 million.
662 participants attended MENTOR’s new Education and Workforce Development Webinar Series on the role of mentoring to support youth within schools and the workforce.
1,042 individuals including supervisors, mentors, and young people in the workplace were trained through the Connect-Focus-Grow curriculum, designed to help create a mentoring mindset for industry professionals.
263 mentors and mentees participated in 4 Virtual Career Mentoring Events co-hosted by MENTOR.

Expanding Local Field Leadership

23 local MENTOR Affiliates provided services in 22 states.
2 emerging Affiliates in development in California and Georgia.
50% of Affiliate organizations led by BIPOC leaders.
25 Affiliate staff served as thought partners in Leadership Committees with MENTOR.
