This workshop focuses on strategies for program expansion as we deal with repercussions of the pandemic. How can organizations deal with dwindling numbers of mentees, mentors, and staff due to pandemic-related hesitations and burnout, and other stressors while maintaining or even expanding their level of services? Facilitators of this session contend that our changing times calls for “breaking the mold,” to put down the old ways and to explore new methods that will allow programs to flourish; panelists will share their ideas around recruiting and retaining mentees, mentors, and staff, along with strategies for seeking funding. The workshop also describes innovative mentoring models and operational systems that can lead to the successful expansion of mentoring efforts.
