Advocacy August

During Advocacy August, join us as we climb MENTOR’s Ladder of Advocacy to become Agents of Change for the mentoring movement. This month, encourage your network to advocate for youth mentoring by engaging with elected officials, and remember to use #MentoringAmplifies and #AdvocacyAugust in your posts so that we can reshare!

MENTOR’s Ladder of Advocacy has five steps:

  1. Awareness: Learn about the mentoring movement and why advocating is important.
  2. Interest: Make a commitment to develop a personal stake in the mentoring movement.
  3. Engagement: Use resources to enhance your knowledge and respond to action alerts.
  4. Advocacy: Deepen your engagement skills by applying them to expand the movement.
  5. Organizing: Create and share opportunities to take action with other advocates in your community.
