SHAPING EQUITABLE SYSTEMS
As an organization dedicated to ensuring that all young people have equitable access to caring adults, strong webs of support, and impactful opportunities, MENTOR recognizes that we need to dismantle pervasive injustices and invest in equitable systems. MENTOR is committed to driving that change from the ground up. By intentionally centering and prioritizing quality relationships in the workforce and education systems, the two spaces where young people are most present, we can provide our nation’s youth with the guidance, care, and support needed to strive and thrive.
Workforce
From training workplaces on how to support young employees to building infrastructure connecting youth with professional opportunities and networks to advocating for legislation that strives to provide young people with equitable access to jobs, MENTOR is driving progress in the space of workforce development and workplace equity.
Education
To ensure that young people have the resources needed to thrive both in and out of the classroom, MENTOR is working with partners and experts across the country to create relationship-centered learning environments where students feel listened to and safe to explore their own identities, passions, and possible future pathways.
